A Unique Welded Copper Vessel by Harry Bertoia

Bertoia created a number of large scale fountain commissions, each formed by welding of successive copper tubes into an overall organic sculptural work. The present example was created in a similar manner, with copper rods melted and bonded into the primitive form. The surface has a deep and heavy green patination.
