Whimsical Mid-Century Table Top Sculpture By William Bowie
Description: A playful and Modern metal sculpture by New York artist William Bowie. Bowie is known for Mid-Century design sculptures constructed from welded nails, copper panels and wire creations. The sculptures are reminescent of Harry Bertioa but with more of a middle market attitude. His works were designed with the intention to appeal to the mass-market, similar to the sculptures manufactured by the Curtis Jere studio in California. William Bowie occupied a studio showroom in the Upper East Side in the late seventies.
