Pressure Melt Scultures
A pair of great unique examples of Bertoia√Ç´s melt pressure technique, wherein metals are heated and subjected to hammer blows to acheive the desired forms. These examples are in bronze with heavy coat of thick carbon material adhered to the surface. The taller piece is pictured on page 139 of "The world of Harry Bertoia", measuring 9.5" H and 5.5" H respectively. The smaller piece bears a very rare signature to the underside.
