Berlin Botanical Garden A sculpture by Klaus Ihlenfeld

Ihlenfeld mastered his style while assisting Harry Bertoia at his studio in Bally Pennsylvania. This is one of his earliest and most ambitious works in metal. Fabricated in copper, a dozen pressure melted stems rise from the drip assembled base. Five of the stems are topped with a further spray of copper rods, each slightly melted at the tip. Extremely organic, Ihlenfeld´s works often appear to have grown into place over the years. 15" H 10" W 5" D.
