Maquette for The Empire State Building Eagles

Truly amazing architectural maquette for the incredible aluminum eagles that grace the exterior of the world famous Empire State Building. Shreve Lamb and Marmon architects designed the Deco masterpiece in the opening days of the great depression, with its construction a strong example of American determination and sprit. The maquette is an Art Deco marvel, exhibiting the powerful lines and geometry prevelant in the AMerican expression of the style. Created in glazed plaster, it has survived in remarkable condition.
